At present, cases of corona virus are on the rise across the country and a new problem for the general public is the 3-month outstanding lightbill. People who used to have a normal bill of Rs 100 per month are now getting two or three times more bill. The electricity bill is now twice as much trouble for the common man as it was during the tax era.
From the people of the city to the people of the village, it is now proving to be a problem. The only relief given at present is that the employees of the electricity company are not trying to pay the bill at present but people are worried that they will have to pay the bill tomorrow if not today. People are already upset because of these one questions.
Former Chief Minister Kamal Nath has demanded the Shivraj government to waive the three-month electricity bill right now in view of the lockdown. "We have asked the government many times about the electricity bill," he said.
Kamal Nath said the government should give exemption in view of lockdown in other charges ranging from fixed charge to minimum unit charge, line lesser charge, delay charge. He also demanded that the industrialists should also be given relief in the bill due to the lockdown.
