According to a daily bulletin released by the Indian Meteorological Department, light to moderate rains were forecast in Gujarat on Sunday in Botad, Amreli, Junagadh, Morbi, Surendra Nagar, Jamnagar, Gir Somnath, Diu and some areas of Kutch.
Now on Monday, light to moderate rains are forecast in Banaskantha, Patan, Sabarkantha, Gandhinagar, Aravalli, Mehsana, Ahmedabad, Navsari, Dang, Surat, Bharuch, Narmada and several districts of Saurashtra.
The meteorological department has forecast rains in many parts of North Gujarat, South Gujarat and Saurashtra from Tuesday to Thursday. Pre-monsoon activity has started across the state, according to the department.
Rains were also witnessed in Saurashtra and some parts of Kutch in Gujarat on Friday. Apart from this, many parts of India like neighboring state of Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha in Maharashtra and some parts of Rajasthan received rains.
