Gujarat has the second highest number of coronaviruses in India. The number of infected people in Gujarat has crossed 11000. But in the midst of this Corona riots, good news has come for Gujarat. Even though Gujarat is performing poorly in the fight against Corona, Gujarat has won in terms of cleanliness. Under the Prime Minister's Swachh Bharat Yojana, only 6 out of 140 cities in India have received 5 star ratings. Out of which 2 cities are from Gujarat.

Very happy to announce the results of Star Rating of Garbage Free Cities.

The Star Rating Protocol was launched in 2018 to institutionalize a mechanism for cities to achieve Garbage Free status & achieve higher degrees of cleanliness. @PMOIndia @PIB_India @SwachhBharatGov
