There are reports of locust strikes in Nasitpur and Motidharai villages of Vallabhipur taluka of Bhavnagar. Concerns have spread among farmers as locusts infest the fields. Suddenly a swarm of locusts descended on the fields at night. So a cloud of troubles has fallen on the farmers.
Speaking of other districts, locust swarms have appeared in Satek village of Halwad taluka of Morbi district. Locust terror has been seen in New Ishanpur, Ranmalpur, Dhanad, Malniad, Old Ishanpur villages. There are fears that locusts have damaged many crops, including sesame. As soon as this was reported, the agriculture officials immediately rushed to the spot and planned to spray the locusts during the night to destroy the locusts.
The ocean is also a crisis for farmers. Locust infestation has also been observed in Mahisagar district. Locusts have invaded the border of Khanpur taluka of Mahisagar.
