The Government of India has recently issued a new law relating to transportation. Vehicles with India BS-6 emission standards will now be required to affix a 1 cm long green strip i.e. sticker. The government has approved a green strip on such vehicles. This order will come into force across the country from October 1, 2020. As per the notification issued by the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways, vehicles complying with BS-6 emission standards will now be required to affix a 1 cm green stripe on the top of the third registration plate. This order has been issued through research in Motor Vehicle Order, 2018.
Change in the rules of HSRP 2018
Talking about this, the government said that there should be a separate system for differentiating vehicles. The same is true in other countries. Also called the third number plate. Which the vehicle manufacturer fits into the windshield of each vehicle. Which the vehicle manufacturing companies fit into the windshield of each vehicle. This order has been announced regarding the change in Motor Vehicle Order, 2018.
Color coding will be done according to the fuel
Talking about this, the government said that under the HSRP, a chromium based hologram is affixed on the left side of the number plate on both sides of the front and back. It is also mandatory to have a laser breeding of a permanent identification number with at least 10 digits in the reflective sheeting on the bottom left side on the registration plate. The third number plate will also have color coding according to the fuel used in the vehicle. Color coding can identify polluting vehicles. There will be light blue coding on petrol or CNG vehicles. While on diesel vehicles this coding will be orange.
